Bessie E. Purvis Raymer, age 81 of Smithfield, KY Bessie E. Purvis Raymer, age 81 of Smithfield, died Friday, January 25, 2013 at her residence. She was born in New Castle and was the daughter of the late Marvin and Lorene Raisor Purvis. She was a homemaker and a member of Eminence Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter: Kathy Raymer Waford (Danny) of Smithfield; one brother: Joe Purvis of Louisville; five sisters: Katie Russell of Frankfort, Edna Pearl James of Crestwood, Dorothy Campbell of Louisville, Linda Detwiler of Frankfort, and Julie Stefanovich of North Carolina; one grandson: Brett Waford (Stephanie) of Smithfield; and several very special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore (Sam) Raymer. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2013 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville with Rev.
