Arlon Michael "Mike" Mounce

Arlon Michael “Mike” Mounce, age 70, of New Castle, KY passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, on August 20, 2023.  He was born on July 21, 1953, in Cincinnati, OH to Arlon Jay and Elizabeth Willene (Aker) Mounce.  Mike was a member of Franklinton Baptist Church, a veteran of the United States Navy and a University of Kentucky Wildcats fan.  He retired as a die caster from Cincinnati Die Cast Company in Cincinnati, OH.

Survivors include; his wife, Aline Murphy Mounce, whom he married on May 18, 1998, a daughter, Melissa Anne (Tara) Browning-King of Pleasureville, KY; a son, Daniel “Danny” Mounce of Cincinnati, OH; his mother, Elizabeth Willene Aker Mounce of Cincinnati, OH; a sister, Gerri Ann (Jim) Stringer of Cincinnati, OH; three brothers, Damon (Linda) Mounce, James Eric Mounce and Boyd Mounce, all of Cincinnati, OH, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and his beloved dog, Percy.  He is preceded in death by his father and a son, Brandon Browning.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Sholar-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Jamie Tingle officiating.  Visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.  The burial will be in the Pleasureville Cemetery.
