Anna Sue James

Anna Sue James, age 84, of Pleasureville, died Saturday, July 28, 2018 Norton’s Pavilion, Hospice Center of Louisville.

She was born June 10, 1934 to the late William G. and Ella Quisenberry. She was retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky and was a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasureville Baptist Church and a former member of Franklinton Baptist Church.

She is survived by five children: Pat Whitaker (Dee) of Jericho, Charlotte Grigsby (Ronnie) of Pleasureville, Sandy Appleman (Mike) of Eminence, Kenny James (Wendy) of Eminence, and Sharon Pollock (Troy) of Georgia; one sister: Billie J. Morgan of Eminence; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Charlie James; sisters: Louise Mitchell and Mary Thomas; and great grandson: Dylan Thurman.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Jerry Anderson and Rev. Jacky Newton will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2018 and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday. Interment will be in Pleasureville Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers are Lexi Barnes, Phyllis Bond, Linda Kelly, Mikki Croxton, Linda Payton, Helen Browning, Betty Rucker, Tommy Bryant, Ronnie Bryant, and Paul Dean Heightchew. Active pallbearers are Shane Whitaker, Corey Whitaker, Jeremy Thurman, Brandon Boyer, Jamesy Boyer, Chandler McGowan, Connor Shaw, Mike Thomas, Deeanne West, Renee Grigsby, Whitney Smith, Kristie McGowan, Shellee Boyer, and Linda Dodge.
